The government of Punjab has launched a digital platform to streamline the process of obtaining a learner's driving license across the region, enhancing convenience for residents.
This move was prompted by the excessive crowds observed at licensing offices. Interim Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, initiated this online service in response to feedback about network disruptions and inefficient processes he encountered during visits to various Lahore offices.
To secure a learner's driving license online, individuals should:
1. Register on the DLIMS licensing website.
2. Complete the application form.
3. Upload required documents, including front and back images of the original CNIC.
4. For those over 50, attach a medical certificate from a state-authorized doctor.
5. Create a PSID (Payment Slip ID) and pay the fee via ATM, online, or mobile banking.
This digital approach is designed to simplify the application procedure and alleviate issues related to long waits and network problems at physical locations.
